In partnership with the District Council of Yankalilla and the Dog Cat Management Board.

The National Desexing Network (NDN) is proud to partner with the District Council of Yankalilla and Yankalilla Veterinary Clinic to provide FREE cat desexing and microchipping for eligible local residents.

This community desexing initiative is designed to:

  • Prevent unwanted litters
  • Reduce stray and feral cat populations
  • Support vulnerable and disadvantaged pet owners
  • Lower the cost burden on councils, vets, and the community

Who is eligible?

Local residents may be eligible if they:

  • Hold a pension, concession or veteran card
  • Are on a low income
  • Are willing to desex and adopt unowned stray cats
  • Are experiencing financial hardship or are otherwise disadvantaged

How does the program work?

  1. Call NDN on 1300 368 992 to check your eligibility.
  2. If approved, you will receive a desexing voucher via email.
  3. Use your voucher at Yankalilla Veterinary Clinic.
  4. Make an appointment and be sure to mention your NDN desexing voucher.

Costs are covered by Council and DCMB funding and Yankalilla Veterinary clinic discounts.
