The National Desexing Network (NDN), in partnership with City of Mount Gambier and local veterinary clinics, provides subsidised cat desexing for eligible local residents.

Desexing helps prevent unwanted litters and reduces the number of cats entering pounds and shelters. This program removes cost barriers so more pet owners can access this important preventative care.

Eligibility criteria are set by City of Mount Gambier. Residents may be eligible if they:

  • Live within the City of Mount Gambier council area
  • Hold a pension, concession or veteran card
