The National Desexing Network (NDN) is proud to partner with the Wingecarribee Shire Council to provide fully subsidised cat and dog desexing for eligible local residents.

This community desexing initiative is designed to:

  • Prevent unwanted litters
  • Reduce stray and feral cat populations
  • Support vulnerable and disadvantaged pet owners
  • Lower the cost burden on councils, vets, and the community

Who is eligible?

Local residents may be eligible if they:

  • Hold a pension or concession card
  • Are on a low income
  • Are caring for multiple cats
  • Are willing to desex and adopt unowned stray cats
  • Are experiencing financial hardship or are otherwise disadvantaged
  • Maximum of 2 vouchers issued per pet owner

How does the program work?

  1. Call NDN on 1300 368 992 to check your eligibility.
  2. If approved, you will receive a desexing voucher via email.
  3. Use your voucher at our participating vet clinics: Highlands Veterinary Clinic
  4. Make an appointment and be sure to mention your NDN desexing voucher.
